Clear about costs, insurance claims and cancellations

At Top Lach Dental Practice you know where you stand: we apply the national NZa tariffs, bill all Dutch health insurers directly and send our invoices ourselves — no external billing company in between. This page brings together everything about paying, invoices and cancelling in one place.

With supplementary dental insurance

Do you have supplementary dental insurance? Then we bill the treatment costs directly to your health insurer — you do not need to do anything. Any co-payments are invoiced afterwards. If your dental budget for the year has been used up, you settle the remainder at reception, by card or cash.

Without supplementary insurance

No supplementary dental insurance? Then you pay the treatment costs directly at reception after your appointment, by card or cash. We apply the nationally regulated NZa maximum tariffs, so costs are identical at every dentist in the Netherlands.

Larger treatments: estimate first

For more extensive treatments — such as crowns, implants, orthodontics or Smile Design — you always receive a treatment plan with a cost estimate in advance, so there are never any surprises. For larger treatments, payment in instalments is possible after consultation.

Cancelling or rescheduling an appointment

You can cancel or reschedule an appointment free of charge up to 24 hours in advance — by phone (030 320 3210), e-mail (post@toplach.nl) or WhatsApp. This allows us to offer the freed-up time to another patient.

Late cancellation or no-show

If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, or do not show up for your appointment, we may charge for the reserved treatment time. Please note: these missed-appointment costs are not reimbursed by your health insurer.
